DC to "train." In her short intro, Gail Webb said she first met Irene in July 2003 in Washington D.C. where she had come for a "training program" in how to teach the Holocaust at her school. It was, of course, all expenses paid. She refers to herself as a Southern Baptist teacher ... a Christian Zionist? Yes, they are. She was obviously recruited by the Shoah Foundation or some other Holocaust-promoting group. One year later, Irene visited Gail at her home in West Virginia, I think it was, and they "decided to write Irene's autobiography." But Irene had been speaking to students "of all ages" about death camps and atrocities since 1994, when she first went to a March of the Living trip to the "death camps" and then Israel, as a member of the Holocaust Speaker's Bureau. The March of the Living people "encouraged" her to remember and to speak. How concerned were any of these groups about how truthful or authentic Irene's story was? Obviously, not at all.
