Just write to the Dean, etc. Another good idea is to send DVDs of the videos. Packages aren't usually as easily ignored.

We will have to start a campaign to get the Superintendent, and Principal aware that the co-author of this incredibly fake memoir, High School teacher Gail Ann Webb is teaching their students horrifying lies.

I just sent this to mkiffin@nsu.nova.edu which is the contact address given at the website. I will let you know if I hear back from them. I imagine I will get something. Yes, my full name is on my email address, so I'm not hiding. But I don't see that I've said anything that I don't have the right to say ... or you either. And I don't think I'm being impolite.

I have just read your newsletter item here: http://www.nova.edu/cwis/pubaffairs/sharkbytes/2008/oct22/author_series.html

While it is over a year old, I think you should know that Irene Zisblatt's memoir, The Fifth Diamond, has been exposed as a fraud, along with Stephen Spielberg's academy award winning documentary The Last Days.

Almost everything she writes is a lie; one way you can tell is that the book differs greatly from her videotaped testimony for the Spielberg Shoah Foundation Visual Library. The book and the Spielberg "documentary" are not about hope, love and courage (as you say) but about hatred directed at one particular ethnic group - Germans - which happens to be my ethnic group.

The lies in the book are being documented and the whole world is learning that organizations like yours accept and promote these Holocaust tall tales as fact without the least bit of checking, or even knowing what is in the book. If you do know what's in the book and you still promote it, you are too irresponsible and unintelligent to be running a university.

After looking over the school website, it seems pretty clear that this is a school that was established in 1964 with primarily Jewish money to promote peculiarly Jewish ideas. That is alright, but you should be more upfront about it.

Sincerely yours,

I commented at a previous blog (Nov. 16) the following about the book, Fifth Diamond:
"Just think — her publisher must have had schools already lined up for her book before it came out, since it’s already in use by some! It’s written for school-age kids — a target market. Co-written by a schoolteacher — how perfect. They are following their master plan."

Now I'm looking at another 'press release' from the Nova Southwestern University in Broward County, FL. It appears to be some strange kind of Jewish School.

http://www.nova.edu/cwis/pubaffairs/sharkbytes/2008/oct22/author_series.html

It says:
The 2008 Author Series "Moving Forward from Darkness to Light" presented by the Circle of Friends of the Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center culminates on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:15 p.m., with Holocaust survivor Irene Zisblatt and her compelling memoir.

Zisblatt, author of The Fifth Diamond: The Story of Irene Weisberg Zisblatt, will discuss her book and her appearance in Steven Spielberg's Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation documentary, The Last Days.

In The Fifth Diamond, Zisblatt shares her story of finding hope, love and courage despite incredible odds during World War II as a concentration camp prisoner in Poland. The Fifth Diamond, RELEASED IN FEBRUARY 2008, IS ALREADY REQUIRED READING FOR HOLOCAUST STUDIES IN MANY SCHOOLS (my emphasis, and may I point out this is Oct. 2008! -c) and has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

The author discussion and book signing is free and open to the public, and begins at 6:15 p.m. at the Alvin Sherman Library.

I'm going to write a letter to this place too. I would encourage everyone reading this to send an email to James Allen Jewelers (above) and to this University. Let them know they are promoting a fraud and it might come back and bite them in the butt!

Checking out Zisblatt some more, I came upon a page put up by a diamond seller, James Allen Jewelers, using Irene's story to promote diamonds. I sent the following email to the address given: service@jamesallen.com. They guarantee a reply within 2 days.

I just read your page dated Dec. 28, 2008 http://www.jamesallen.com/news/FeelGood/diamonds-holocaust-strength-122808.html

I must say you didn't waste any time taking advantage of the Zisblatt fake memoir. I hope your use of this fake story doesn't cause your (potential or real) customers to think your diamonds are as fake as hers!

Even though nothing she says can be verified, I think you should know that you have the dates wrong. In her book, Zisblatt says she was deported to Auschwitz with her family in 1944 when she was 13 years old (not 1942 when she was 11). She was in Birkenau for about a year, not three years.

That you could get it so wrong right off the bat shows how easily these stories get twisted out of shape by careless reporting and re-copying. Even Irene changed it considerably from the time she first started telling it in 1994-95 until she came out with her book in 2008. Many 'events' are entirely different, are not there at all, and new things added. In the land of fake holocaust novels, anything is possible.

Maybe you should consider deleting this particular bit of "feel good" news.
